As mentioned, the vulnerable in the society are affected so much more by the Corona Virus and the bad economy which is resulting from it.
Many of you have over the last two years bought products from the sewing project. We now have used part of the surplus which was made through sales in Switzerland to buy shopping for all our Soweto families. There was lots of joy and excitement as close to 300 families received the food (Ugali flour, Rice, oil and sugar). Our staff did a fantastic job organizing everything and making sure that everyone washed hands and sanitized when entering the compound and that ‘social distancing’ was observed.
The lady on the picture knew that her family was going to sleep hungry, but now they were not only going to eat that evening but many more times.
Thank you friends for having supported the sewing project!
